The Change
Maceňková, Katarína ; Fexová, Patricie (referee) ; Artamonov, Vasil (advisor)
In work entitled CHANGE, I return in my memories to my home region, a town where I have lived and lived most of my life and which has been nicknamed the "Triangle of Death" for decades. This time period has had and continues to have a significant impact on my existence. In the first phase of the timeline of creating the topic of the diploma thesis, are my returns through induction and deduction. I approach my father's illness, which is not uncommon in my homeland. I connect connections leading to finding out the causes of origin and occurrence. Subsequently, I recall memories related to the stories heard from people about the factory, which was supposed to be and perhaps was the livelihood for the inhabitants of the poor eastern Slovakia, as well as the production of PCBs. I create, compile and depict images hidden in the memory of moments from my lived childhood. I depict the Chemko Strážske factory, which at that time was a kind of illusion of a happy life. I am looking for a way of acceptance and ways of reconciliation using painting techniques, through the representation of symbols and the central characters that represent it all.

Wage discrimination of the European players in the NHL
Pavlovský, Jakub ; Červinka, Michal (advisor) ; Kolář, Daniel (referee)
This thesis analyses the wage discrimination against the European players in the National Hockey League (NHL). There were some results in the past litera- ture acknowledging the existence of discrimination in the NHL. The main goal of this thesis is to examine the discrimination in the NHL using new data from season 2020-2021. Another goal is to extend past literature by including the models for goalkeepers because they were omitted in most of the literature, and by using modern advanced statistics to better analyse the players' skills. The method used to analyse the relationship between dependent and independent variables is linear regression. OLS is used to estimate the coefficients of the created models. The estimation of the created models arrives at an unexpected conclusion. There is no discrimination against European or Russian skaters in the NHL. But there is positive discrimination against Russian goalkeepers in the league. Changes of Life and the Perception of Political Power between World War II. and the Comeback of Capitalism in the Village of Sudoměřice
Bek, Lukáš ; Mücke, Pavel (advisor) ; Krátká, Lenka (referee)
Using the example of the inhabitants of Sudoměřice, a predominantly Catholic village in South Moravia, this thesis examines the relationship of the non-privileged strata members to the manifestations of political power in the period from the end of World War II until about 1990. The main sources are oral history interviews with 13 local citizens. The local chronicle is also an important source. It appears that the power (domination, using Weber's term), which is the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (CPC) for most of the period examined, takes on a number of different forms in memories, not only depending on the period, but also on the bearers of memories and other circumstances. For example, even some people whose families were persecuted during the Stalinist period have quite different recollections of the local CPC officials in the 1950s and their successors in the 1970s or 1980s. The topic is the question of faith, but also the standard of living. Emphasis is placed on the key moments of "great" history, such as 1945, 1948, 1968 and 1989. This thesis also aims to contribute to the discussion of how the communist regime could hold on for so long. Part of the answer is precisely that diverse perception of power, as well as the forces of social coherence at the village level affecting both local...
Selected problems of the rural delimitation
Bednářová, Hana ; Perlín, Radim (advisor) ; Kučera, Zdeněk (referee)
This work is an attempt to define an alternative definition of rural as compared with the OECD methodology applied to the NUTS 3 units. In the specific nature of the Czech population is necessary to use other methods of defining rural. Bibliography outlines other possible ways of definic, as a empirical research reflects a descriptive approach to the definition of rural based on statistical indicators which are assessed in seven groups. The results are shown in the cartograms. Differences between rural and urban areas are in the Czech Republic according to the chosen methodology very small or not visible. Countryside as defined by statistical indicators have shown similar results as the definition of internal peripherals. The chosen method for the identification is very difficult and demanding. The results are largely influenced by the threshold value for each indicator. Keywords: delimination, country, rural, delimitation, rural areas

NOVÁKOVÁ, Karolína
The Diploma thesis called "The development of rights to the immovable property in the selected area" is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. The focus of the theoretical part is a short literary research. The basic terms connected to the given topic are specified in the introduction of the theoretical part. Then there follows a description of the historical development of the Czech land registry from its beginnings to the present. There are also the main factors influencing the development of the rights to the immovable property in this thesis. The factors are primarily related to the political and socioeconomical sectors. At the beginning of the practical part there is a more detailed specification of the selected area where the analysis of the elementary characteristics is done. The main section of the practical part is focused on the analysis of relations of the property rights in the selected area. The analysis of the land tenure is done in three periods - the stable land registry, the land registry and the contemporary land registry. The periods are compared and evaluated. The end of the practical part is focused on the brief summary of the analysis and short reflection and discussion on this topic.
